Our kids love to use pom poms to create their own art work. Around Halloween, that usually ends up involving Pumpkins!
With 2 weeks left until Halloween, our thoughts are on pumpkins, and we made our own “Pointillism Pumpkins.”
Paint Pumpkins With Pompoms
- Paint (orange, green for the stem, black for the face)
Squirt the paint onto a paper plate or whatever you use as a paint palette. Let your child pick out 1 or 2 pompoms per color (they may want to try a couple different sizes). Then let your kids dip the pompoms into the paint and paint their pictures!
We did the orange pumpkin first, then added green for the stem and the grass, and finished up with the black shapes for the face. My little guy also asked if we could do one where I outlined the shape of the pumpkin for him, to make it easier for him to keep the shape he was trying to create in mind.
