Sensory bottles are awesome for babies – they can look and explore things … without putting them in their mouths! This sensory bottle was a fun older sibling activity, too! We all went on a nature walk and my 3 year old collected the flowers for the sensory bottle!
Make the Sensory Bottle
Our favorite sensory jars are just empty peanut butter jars! I wash them out thoroughly, and remove the label (using lemon essential oil takes the gummy stuff right off)
We went for a walk and gathered dandelions and violets and other little flowers along the way. And then just popped them into the jar! I actually gave it to my baby and just screwed the lid on and watched him. But for an added safety step you might want to hot glue the lid on (still keep a careful watch though!).
