This Snowman Mason Jar Craft is perfect for a homemade gift – or a keepsake decoration to bring out every year!
I’m happy to be partnering with Blue Mountain to share this super cute craft! It’s one of the many awesome 12 Days of Christmas Inspiration they are sharing…and I know we are going to bring our snowmen out every year with our holiday decorations!
How To Make Your Own Snowman Mason Jar Craft
- Clean mason jar (we used fairly big ones, but go with whatever size you want!)
- Paint – white for the jar, brown or black for the hat, any other color you might like
- Ribbon or other fabric
- Orange felt
- adhesive that works on glass (we’ve used double sided tape or Mod Podge)
There’s really no wrong way to make this craft! It’s going to be one adorable snowman keepsake no matter how you decorate it.
Snowman body: Paint the jar white (we painted the inside and the outside). Either try not to paint the top where the lid goes, or just make sure the paint isn’t too thick there. Set the jar aside to dry. Optional: paint the lid brown or black for the hat
Eyes: Once dry, decide what eyes you want on the snowman – sequins, buttons, drawn on with marker, or painted? Glue or tape them on.
Nose: Add a nose – we cut orange triangle “carrot” noses from felt.
Scarf: Tie a ribbon or a scrap of fabric for a scarf.
Buttons: For buttons, we used…buttons! You could also paint or draw these on.
Mouth: Our snowman is silent, but feel free to paint, draw, or glue on a mouth (we thought about using sequins for the mouth).
