This mummy chain is a fun Halloween craft that works on fine motor skills! And, of course, it’s super easy. Even if you’ve never made a paper doll chain. The best part of making a mummy chain is that the figures don’t need to be perfect. In fact, a little bit of an odd shape is probably a good thing!
Mummy Paper Chain
- Paper (we used black and green)
- Googly eyes
I’m going to try to explain how to do it cut the paper chain. But it’s really much easier to see it. My friend Erica in her awesome Star Wars Paper Dolls post linked to this video that explains how to make paper doll chains:
First fold a long strip of paper accordion style (like a fan). It doesn’t need to be perfect, but try to get the folds to line up as evenly as possible. Then cut out your figure. The key to cutting is to make sure that the ends of the hands and feet of your mummy are not cut. This is the part that keeps your chain together.
Once you cut them, unfold your dolls and use the chalk to mark bandages. There’s no wrong way to do it!
