Making your own bubbles is a lot cheaper than buying the bubble bottles. And it actually does work – giving you lots of bubbles, just like the good store-bought ones!
Make Your Own Bubbles
- 1/4 cup liquid dish soap (we used Dawn)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbl corn syrup
Mix together, and you’re good to go! You can get creative with the bubble wands – pipecleaners bent into different shapes, cookie cutters, use lids (just be sure there aren’t any sharp edges) – there are lots of possibilities!
This is the recipe I used for my contribution to Zero to Two: the book of play (an e-book I co-authored)! It’s includes 25 step-by-step tutorials with pictures, as well as links to over 50 more ways to play with babies and toddlers – all for $8.99.
