Mess Free Glowing Sensory Bags
- Resealable plastic bags
- glowing stars (affiliate link)
- shaving cream
- duct tape (optional)
Open the package of glowing stars (affiliate link), and expose them to the light. Squirt the shaving cream into the reseable plastic bag. I usually put in enough to fill about 1/4 of the bag. Then starting from the top of the bag (where the opening is), press the shaving cream down to the bottom of the bag. Then go the other way, and push down on the bag from where the shaving cream ends up to the opening, to remove the excess air. Add in the stars, and seal the bag.
We cover the seal of the sensory bags with duct tape to make them less likely to pop open (check out this sensory bag for more info). I was concerned that the stars would make the bag more likely to rip, but the ends were rounded enough that it held up (so far, at least!).
Then we turned off the lights and played with the bag! This would also be fun with glow sticks or if you added glow in the dark paint to mix with the shaving cream.
