I set up a fairy cookie station for a recent playdough invitation to play. I made playdough with glitter, and added several sparkly objects that made me think of fairies.
The set up was simple: I mixed glitter in with the playdough as the final step in cooking it, and gave the kids cookie cutters, curled pink ribbon, and shiny butterfly and flower buttons to decorate their playdough cookies.
They pressed down on the cookie cutters to make the shapes they wanted. Transferring and making sure the cookie came out evenly were the focus for my 5 year old. My toddler was more intent (and needed more help with) pressing the cookie cutter down evenly.
