Making Your Craft Stick Plane
- 3 craft sticks
- 1 clothespin
Cut one of the craft sticks into thirds. Then get painting! Paint both the craft sticks and the clothespin.
Once they dry, you can assemble your plane. I put together the one my toddler painted, but my kindergartner could put his together himself.
The clothespin becomes the body of the plane, and the intact craft sticks are the wings. Glue the craft sticks onto the clothespin, one on top, and one on the bottom. The part of the clothespin that you pinch is the tail, and you can glue the 1/3 piece of the craft stick to the tail to make it a little more decorative.
And then let the whole thing dry completely. It won’t stand up to rough play for long, but they sure are fun – and cute! – while they last! (Ours average a few days.)
